Issued TAZ 57 Alpenflage Field Pants w/Suspenders

Issued TAZ 57 Alpenflage Field Pants w/Suspenders

TAZĀ 83 "Alpenflage" is aĀ Swiss varietyĀ of German Leibermuster. Some sources say that the Swiss obtained the pattern directly from WWII-era German uniform textile manufacturing linesĀ from CzechoslovakiaĀ sometime postwar.

These field jackets were issued to combat troops of the Swiss army, with non-combat troops wearingĀ a lighter-weight TAZ 83 field shirt. After 1970 these uniforms were issued alongside a daypack that buckled onto the jacket itself, taking the place of traditional load bearing gear in use by other militaries at the time.

Used surplus condition, may show signs of wear. No holes or tears.

The Short & Sweet:

  • Two large cargo pocketsĀ

  • Buttoned fly closure
  • Heavy-duty suspenders
  • Waist pockets
  • Zip slits on the waist for access to undergarment pockets
  • Knee and calf height snap domes to make garment tighten
  • Draw-cord ankles

The suspender portion of the pants runs a bit short.Ā
