Issued Greek Lizard M2008 Field Shirt

Issued Greek Lizard M2008 Field Shirt

Ā

Model is 6' and 180 pounds wearing a size large.

If you're in need of a fashionable, lightweight and rugged shirt, our Greek Lizard Field Jacket will do the job. These jackets are constructed of a cotton ripstop material, making them light and breathable. They also include four front pockets for storing anything you may need throughout the day.

Greek Lizard & Its History

Greek Lizard is among the drippiest Mediterranean camouflage patterns. The Greek Army has used this pattern since the 1970s, when copies of French Lizard were first produced in Greece. The first runs of Greek LizardĀ camouflage were near exact copies of the original French Lizard.

Over the decades there have been some changes to this camouflage, including its colors and shapes. ThereĀ have been other variants issued for use by certain special units, includingĀ one pattern for Greek Navy Special Forces. Another blue, gray and purple pattern was developed for the Greek Navy. Despite the development of a pixelated Lizard-inspired pattern, the original camouflage is still in use by the Greek Armed Forces.

Some variation in the pattern originate from the use of several different manufacturers. Most of these jackets were produced in Greece, but we've seen a few that were produced outside of Greece by German contractors.

This Batch of Goodies

This batch of jackets were sourced directly from Greece by AP. After their use by the Greek Armed Forces they were stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse. Having found COVID-era masks in the pockets of these jackets, we assume they were surplusedĀ within the last two to three years.
